Earth Observation Australia Awards 2024

The Earth Observation Australia Awards are an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the individuals and organisations building the Australian Earth observation (EO) community and its capabilities. In this context, our EO communities and capabilities include all types of industry, government, university, education, non-government, and community/social enterprises.

We received outstanding nominations in each of our three award categories with our experienced judging panel drawn from the EOA membership the winners were recognised and presented with a trophy at the Advancing Earth Observation Forum 2024.

Significant Contribution to the Development of the Australian Earth Observation Community and its Capabilities

Awarded to an individual who has made significant and sustained contribution to activities that have developed the Australian EO community and/or its capabilities. This contribution may be in any aspect of Earth observation such as organisation leadership, research activities, or education, etc.

Early-Career Contribution to the Development of the Australian Earth Observation Community and its Capabilities

COURTNEY BRIGHT

Awarded to an individual, who has worked in Earth observation for 5 years or less, for contributions that have developed, or have a significant potential to produce activities that will develop, the Australian Earth observation community and/or its capabilities. The winner will show significant potential for future excellence and leadership. The winner of this award will be invited to be an EOA Earth Observation Ambassador for a period of 12 months.
