A Special General Meeting of the Earth Observation Australia Inc. (EOA) membership is being held to vote on proposed changes to the EOA Constitution and to introduce our new By-laws.

We are asking our members to vote on each of six motions to cover:

• Changes to the terms for members of the Management Committee (MC)

• How we hold elections and collect votes

• Acceptance of the new proposed by-laws (*) and mention of same in the Constitution, and

• To fix a small error in the original rules

In some cases one motion alters more than one rule, however separation of these rules into individual motions would not make sense, hence they are combined.

Voting on these motions will be conducted online using electronic election software at or prior to the 1 July 2021 Special General Meeting of the EOA membership.

(*) We are introducing a new governance document, the EOA By-laws. These are "local rules" that will define specific procedures like election periods, detailed position descriptions, etc.
