About This Opportunity
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a Research Fellow to contribute their high-level scientific expertise and established research profile in remote sensing and satellite image processing to a joint University-State Government partnership that develops applied biophysical remote sensing methods to support key government initiatives aimed at managing, protecting and restoring the environment.
This position is funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation (DETSI) and the incumbent will be expected to work closely with the Joint Remote Sensing Research Program (JRSRP) and DETSI team in helping to undertake priority research tasks and in the day-to-day application of that research to operational activities. The position will ideally be primarily located with the DETSI team at the EcoSciences Precinct, Dutton Park, Brisbane, but flexible work arrangements can be negotiated.
