URGENT! Have your say - Review of Australia's space industry capability in response to opportunities within the global space industry sector

We need your assistance with a major national initiative!  It is essential that we get your input if Australia is to actually listen to its EO community and especially its established and growing group of industry participants.  There is a review paper...

“You are invited to comment on the review of Australia's space industry capability in response to opportunities within the global space industry sector.”

Your comments are due by 17:00 hrs on Tuesday 22 August
THAT’S ONLY 2 WEEKS!

Please also consider attending one of the “round table” meetings in your city on one of the following dates.  Please register ASAP using the review links to make sure the agency doing this actually runs a meeting in your city!

  •     Hobart: 24 August
  •     Darwin: 31 August
  •     Brisbane: 1 September
  •     Perth: 5 September
  •     Adelaide: 6 September
  •     Melbourne: 7 September
  •     Canberra: 11 September
  •     Sydney: 13 September

This is a unique opportunity for us and will directly address the Priorities #1 and #5  in Australia’s Earth Observation Community Plan, which you all helped put together:

1.       Connection and Coordination — establishing a consistent vision within the Australian EO community, and delivering processes for internal coordination to ensure effective collaboration, resource use, and advocacy for EO in Australia and internationally.

5.       Generating Value — strengthening end-user engagement to enable delivery of high quality EO products and services suited to user needs, and supporting commercial development of EO applications.

We need to be active in engaging and informing the expert reference group and agency running this as they are not actively reaching out in any form to the Earth Observation Community, despite Earth Observation being the major underpinning application and pillar used for the Space Capability Review
